The World Is Out Of Focus sees director Iben Haahr Andersen introduce us to four female Danish photographers who are brimming with a zest for life, a creative urge, and an anecdote or five. Seize the day, seize the hour and meet four female photographers, who may have a lot of experience under their belt, but who also continue to be courageous and curious at a level where everyone can (and should) be inspired. 93-year old Else Tholstrup is a well-travelled stills photographer with a significant body of work featuring Syrian cultural history.

About the Artist

Nanna Bisp Büchert is a self-taught photographer with a dark humour who has a new beginning at the age of 84. Marianne Engberg is an ambitious art photographer who wants to make time to see the light shine through the Brooklyn Bridge. Tove Kurtzweil is a bohemian, poet and philosopher whose favourite workshop is the darkroom. Driven by an enthusiasm for photography and for life, Andersen's doc offers a striking portrait of four artistic minds. "It is bubbling and sizzling when Iben Haahr Andersen stirs the pot of history and serves portraits of the four photographers...The World is Out of Focus just makes you want more." - Politiken
