Belfast Photo Festival Awarded £140K Grant by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to Visualise Natural Heritage
Thanks to National Lottery players, four photographers will cover themes including Lough Neagh, Peatland, Marine Areas and the wider Belfast Hills. The new narratives and co-curated images will be showcased and discussed at exhibitions and events in Belfast and across Northern Ireland this June.

Belfast Photo Festival is excited to announce its Open Submission, inviting photographers from around the world to showcase their work. This is a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain visibility on an international stage. Selected works will be featured in the festival’s program, with the chance to win prestigious awards, including a cash prize, exhibition opportunities, and more!

‘Divergence’ delved into how contemporary photographers are interpreting rapid digitalisation, our climate emergency and the ethical questions surrounding Artificial Intelligence. ‘Divergence’ embraced the complexity of our polarised world, with the aim to shine a light on the importance of nuance, critical thought, and interpretation, while offering antidotes for survival.
