ERIK VROONS

Erik Vroons (b. 1976, The Netherlands) is a freelance writer, editor and curator in the realm of photography. Professionally, he’s been active as Editor in Chief/Editor-at-large for GUP Magazine for many years - including their associated titles New Dawn, New Dutch Photography Talent and Fresh Eyes: European Photography Talent. In recent years, he collaborated with various individual photographers from all over the world and has been involved in editorial and jury/screening activities with several established international photography organizations (e.g. World Press Photo, Lensculture, Canon).
Currently, he mainly operates as a ‘jack of all trades’, with specializations in editorial proceedings and essays/reviews/grant writing. He occasionally contributes to Dutch and international magazine titles and as a coach/curator he is supportive in the development of works in progress and its conceptualization towards final presentation modes.
