CELINA LUNSFORD
Artistic Director & Chief Curator (Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Germany)
As the artistic director of the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt Celina Lunsford is responsible for the exhibitions program, the FFF Academy and curating for the RAY Triennale. Diverse global perspectives in photography have long been present in artists she chooses to exhibit or support. As a juror and nominator for many prizes, including the Prix Pictet, her expertise is globally recognized. She has curated and written for photographers and organizations such as Fundación Mapfre, Fundación Telefonica, Photography Festival Lodz and Lianzhou International Photography Festival and the Houston Fotofest. She has mentored for Olympus Recommended Award, the Joop Swart Masterclass and ASEF (Asia-Europe Foundation) Forum for Photographers. Her 2024 publication Celebration Imagination visually explores the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt.
Other publications include, Ideologies: RAY 2021 (Kehrer Verlag, 2021), Peter Fink. My Mind’s Eye (Kehrer Verlag, 2020) and Picture Languages, Photographic Art from Georgia (Societäts Verlag, 2018). She is a member of the German Society of Photography and was the Vice President of the German Academy of Photography from 2010-2018. Since 2022 she is an Honorary Professor at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
