CARINE DOLEK

Carine Dolek is a curator, strategist and author, specializing in emerging photography and visual arts, as well as collaborative projects.
Since 2023, she has been the coordinator of the Valimage association in the Centre-Val de Loire region: cultural, artistic, pedagogical, and social actions, 5 residencies for French and international visual artists - Ardelim, Liger, Superpause, Biodiverciné, Residenz - of which 3 were created in 2023, and the establishment of the Maison ligérienne de l’Image, a regional photography center, inaugurated in 2023. In 2022, in partnership with the Deutsche Fotografische Akademie (DFA) and the French online magazine 9 Lives, she initiated Ukrainian Meetings, a communication channel for Ukrainian artists and cultural practitioners. In 2020, with the Moroccan artist Yoriyas, she curated “Sourtna, Moroccan photographers of today and tomorrow” the inaugural exhibition of the first Moroccan national museum of photography with 15 photographers and video artists from the emerging Moroccan scene, also shown at the World Bank and The International Monetary Fund (IMF) during the Annual Meetings, Washington, US, in 2022 . She established Le petit espace gallery, an exhibition venue in Paris, where she showcased the works of artists such as Sanne de Wilde, Boris Eldagsen, Anne de Gelas, Armand Quetsch, and others, between 2014 and 2015.
Carine is a member of the Fetart collective, a collective of curators responsible for organizing the Circulation(s) festival of young European photography, which she co-founded in 2011. Additionally, she has been contributing to Réponses Photo magazine since 2012.
