We welcome applications for new Board Members of this high profile visual arts organisation. The Belfast Photo Festival is a not for profit organisation that presents one of the leading International Festivals of photography in the United Kingdom and the Visual Arts Festival of Northern Ireland. The organisation was recently awarded Arts Organisation of the Year at the Allianz Arts and Business Awards for ambition and success since its inception 10 years ago.

Board Members

We welcome applications for new Board Members to expand our already established Board, and to create the opportunity to refresh the current Board. Board members will work across one or more of the following areas: governance; finance; strategy; business development; communications; education; art & design; and human resources. Board members will work collaboratively with the Chair and Staff to ensure that Belfast Photo Festival operates within its charitable objectives. They will act as a champion for the organisation, using their expertise and networks to further strengthen the profile of the Belfast Photo Festival.

 

There is no remuneration associated with these posts, however out of pocket expenses such as travel may be covered. Board Members will be required to attend 6 meetings per annum (including AGM) as well as Belfast Photo Festival events. Board Members may also be required to liaise with Staff, authorise financial transactions, and sign legal documents between meetings.
